RESUMO

The mammary glands were examined in 36 patients with +Hyperprolactinemia-induced amenorrhea. ++Fibro-adipose transformation (33.3%), involutional changes unassociated with age (30.6%), the hyperplastic processes fibrocystic mastopathy, adenosis (36.1%) were found to be equally encountered in the pattern of breast alterations. Parlodel therapy given to patients with ++Hyperprolactinemia-induced amenorrhea not only recovers menstrual and reproductive functions, but exerts a favourable action on the mammary glands, promoting the restoration of glandular tissue and the decrease in deformity of a stromal component.

RESUMO

This study included 62 women with hypergonadotropic amenorrhea. Clinical, hormonal, genetic, laparoscopic and histologic studies revealed three types of the disease: resistant ovary syndrome, dystrophic ovary syndrome, and "pure" gonadal dysgenesis. Mammary function and architectonics were correlated with gynecologic conditions. Fibrocystic breast disease was identified in 64.9% of patients with resistant ovary syndrome, and fatty glandular degeneration was seen in dystrophic ovary syndrome; pure gonadal dysgenesis was associated with breast hypoplasia, poor structural differentiation and prevalence of adipose tissue in the mammary glands.

RESUMO

The study has been undertaken in 40 women with excessive androgen levels in the age range of 22 to 38 years. Various types of mastopathy were found in 34 and fatty degeneration of the glandular tissue in 6 women. On the basis of clinical and laboratory studies, the patients were assigned to 3 groups: ovarian hyperandrogenism, adrenal and ovarian-adrenal hyperandrogenism. Breast hyperplasia was seen in all groups, but adenofibrosis occurred in groups I and III at a 2-2.5-fold higher rate as compared with group II. The patients with hyperandrogenism, anovulation, increased body mass index, low hirsute number and polycystic ovaries were at the highest risk of dyshormonal mammary hyperplasia. An adequate therapeutic approach was suggested for mastopathies in hyperandrogenic patients.

RESUMO

As many as 11 patients suffering from hereditary hemochromatosis were examined on the bones and joints with the aid of X-rays. The given disease entity was marked by very suggestive x-ray sings of changes in the cranium, in the large and small joints, as well as in the long tubular bones, and so forth.

RESUMO

Mammary and endometrial status was examined in 162 female patients with benign ovarian tumors and tumor-like formations. Abnormal changes were found in the brests of 69.1% of the patients, and in the endometrium of 33%. A study of the secretory endometrium in patients with benign ovarian tumors and endometrioid cysts by means of the measurement of estradiol and progesterone receptors, demonstrated definite intracellular changes concerning the transmission of an adequate hormonal signal in endometrial cells, in which with respect to mammary hyperplasia.
